There was 47 of us who come bank holiday weekend. What can I say amazing weekend staff was amazing food was fab. The hotel couldn't do enough. Great location not 1 thing to moan about entertainment was good one of the ladys on the trip left her necklace (which I thought would be gone)rang back too days later.the hotel kept it and sent it back though the post and paid. Would a million percent go back x

We had an pleasant 1 night stay at the Sutcliffe Hotel.We were met by Paul who immediately offered us a fan for our room as it was above the kitchen and gets quite warm.This was great customer service, anticipating our needs, and he was right, it was very warm and we needed it!The room was small, but faultless in its simple decor and cleanliness, and perfect for our overnight stay.Breakfast had prompt service, and again, everything was spotless.The only downside was that our room was adjacent to the bar, which played loud music until 1am, but we were so tired from a busy day and night in Blackpool that we fell asleep on the comfy bed almost immediately anyway!Will definitely book again next we visit Blackpool!

Had a fabulous time at The Sutcliffe - all staff were very friendly and happy to help.The staff in the restaurant and bar in particular were very nice indeed and the breakfast was excellent.The hotel is very central to where we needed to be and would definitely return here.My only negative was that the bathroom in our bedroom was very small.

Been coming to the Sutcliffe for a few years now, never been disappointed. Hermes and Phil and the staff are all welcoming and happy to help. Foods fantastic. Great choice and that's why we go back year on year.

Every year we are fortunate enough to work at the winter gardens, it means we can enjoy the feeling of coming home to our friends at the sutcliffe hotel who never fail to absorb our crew into the fold and make us feel so welcome... rooms are always spotless and comfy with a super breakfast to start the day.. highly recommended!

From start to finish it was so enjoyable,nice people on the desk,the ladies and young man serving meals couldnt have done more,as for the food it was 1st class,apart fromblack pudding,but thats just the way its made in England utterly different from Scotland,the man behind the bar was a joy he wzs funny and made you feel so much at ease,but please keep away from the bingo,fri nights was hilarious,we all laughed except for a guy who took it so serious,lighten up man its £20 not Las Vegas..but we will be back,its now our go to in Blackpool,used to be 1 across the road,but no more,had a fish tea,never again,girl asked if i enjoyed,sorry hen it was Vile,,Microwave fish and chips not for me...she wasnt happy...

The Sutcliffe is a typical Blackpool hotel. Quite a large hotel. Good kerb appeal and quite welcoming entrance and lobby.Very well located for venues such as Viva, Winter Gardens and The Opera House.Lots of stairs but a lift is available if needed.The rooms are clean and functional. We had a minor issue with the bed but this was quickly and easily resolved (credit to the management who resolved this very amicably and professionally).There is a bar and function room to the rear where, perhaps because we stayed on a weekend night, there was a decent singer.Overall we had a pleasant stay.

Stayed in this hotel 12/07/24 for 2 nights found everything to be up to standard.The breakfast was very good plenty of choice as was the bar which we didn't expect mainly because we thought it would just be a small B&B.Would certainly recommend this hotel.

Phillip the manager and all his staff were fantastic nothing too much for them if you ask them about anything sorted out right away.It was my first time at the Sutcliffe but I will be always booking with them when I'm staying in Blackpool. LOVED ALL THAT YOU DID FOR ME PHILIP AND THE REST OF YOUR GREAT STAFF.

The location of the hotel is perfect, in the centerclose to Winter Gardens, Tower. The rooms are small but nice and clean. Very friendly stuff prepares for you nice full English breakfast. All for a good price ! I can only recommend…

Can’t fault the hotel, it’s clean and tiny, room was spotless. And the staff were ever so friendly.Only gripe I had was the shower was awful. Just a small trickle which was not enough to be able to shower.Will deffo stay here again. Thanks

Visited with my sister 4 nights 2 single rooms we were looked after very well by the Owner and his staff.The Night Porter cooked us lovely breakfast every morning as hotel was not to busy during our stay.We will definitely return to The Sutcliffe again.

I booked this Hotel last minute as we wanted to surprise our Friends who were already staying at another Hotel in Blackpool. When we arrived we were greeted by a lovely Gentleman. We found our room and it was great. Just what we needed for a 1 night stay. The bar was well stocked and the staff were very Friendly. We arrived back around 1am and was greeted by another lovely Gentleman who let us in. Would definitely stay again and would definitely recommend to others. Thanks again for a wonderful, easy stay :)

I booked for the IFS convention & bought my daughter & grandchildren.We couldn’t have asked for more. Wonderful owner & so helpful. The breakfast & dining staff were lovely & we never had to wait for anything, food was wonderful.We shall return ps this time il make sure I shout out when I get my line in bingo 😂

Regular visitor to Blackpool and my usual hotels of choice were fully booked or too expensive for a weekend in March. Found this little gem on Booking.Com Very reasonably priced for a really comfortable bed, hot breakfast, great locationand the most lovely and kind team at the Sutcliffe. Will certainly be back soon.

Spent 3 nights bed and breakfast at the Sutcliffe hotel. Stayed there last year so was happy to return this year. Staff are friendly and helpful, breakfast very good and rooms clean and compact. Will return again next year. Over all very good value close to the centre of town close to beaches.

A bit quiet but it was only 1st April. Food was brilliant. Had breakfast and dinner. Philip and hermes were very helpful and lovely people. Nice, clean hotel. Close to centre. Only drawback was parking, but a lot of hotels don't have parking.

I comedown to watch my granddaughter dance at the Disco Kid in the ballroom.This hotel was only a 5 minute walk around the corner.The staff were superb, and could not do enough for you and they went out the way for all the dance kids staying.Room was comfortable and the breakfast was superb.Tea, coffee toast, cereal fruit and yogurt, followed by a breakfast of your choice.I heard the owners young wife had passed away yet he still runs a cracking hotel.If I’m going to the dance competition next year I would definitely come back here.Parking is 5 minutes away and was £22 from the Friday until we left on the Monday.It put the correct registration in unlike us.

There was 11 of us spending the weekend here and what ever we required was no problem from any of the staff. Our rooms were clean, food was good and staff were friendly, what more could you need.

We had a wonderful couple of nights stay at the Sutcliffe Hotel. Hermes and his staff couldn't have been more welcoming and friendly. The rooms were big enough, spotlessly clean and comfortable. We had lots of options for breakfast and the Full English was really tasty. The location is perfect, as central as you get, a few minutes walk from the Winter Gardens and the Tower. No parking at the hotel but we used the multistory car park at the Houndshill shopping mall which was very close and secure, and only GBP12 per 24 hours, there are cheaper around if this is too much. Again, the biggest selling point are the staff of the hotel, nothing was ever too much trouble and they went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful, happy stay. Excellent value for money.

We went Wednesday to Friday had a comfortable stay staff friendly .We had first night evening meal which was nice and hot and had breakfast both morning which was nice.Only thing missing in room was a lamp as light switch was at other end of room and shower was a bit tight if you was a bigger than average.All in all an enjoyable stay

Happy with our 2 day stay. Not sure of the cost as it was a Buy a Gift present but speaking to other guests who have been staying there for years its economical compared to lots of other hotels. It's very basic but clean and has everything you need. The meals were lovely and the staff friendly and helpful. Ideally situated to the main strip. I would stay again so happy to recommend.

This was a Buyagift Christmas present and the choice of hotels was limited.We decided on the Sutcliffe purely for its location, just a stone’s throw from Blackpool Tower.We didn’t really expect too much from a 2 star hotel, but this is a great base in Blackpool.The room was basic, but had all the essentials, tea/coffee making facilities, TV, hairdryer, en-suite shower/bathroom with toiletries and enough wardrobe and drawer space for a suitcase or two’s clothes.The towels and bed linen was clean and fresh for our arrival and the maid would be in every day and refresh these unless you put the ‘do not disturb’ sign on your door (which, for a 2 day stay we did).Evening dinner was tasty, with around 3 choices for starter, mains and sweet and followed with tea/coffee.Breakfast was self service cereal, fruit juice and fruit, followed by table service full English, kippers or scrambled or poached egg as well as toast and preserves.The dining staff are efficient and very friendly.The bar at night has entertainment every night during the season, and bingo, numbers permitting.Bar prices are very reasonable and the atmosphere was good, but being such a small hotel, I’m guessing the atmosphere would be down to the hotel guests - we were lucky over the weekend to have a happy crowd just out to enjoy their break away.The hotel staff stop to chat with the guests and help make the place shine.Only downside, free wi-fi is terrible.Couldn’t get a signal in our room at all and the barman used my phone to take a picture of the back of the router in the bar, which then had a pretty good signal, but it was only in the bar, the minute we went to our room, it was back to no signal.All in all, I’d recommend this hotel as the perfectly situated hotel, right in the middle of the fun stuff in Blackpool, short walk to the tower, winter gardens, promenade amusements and a 10 minute walk from Blackpool North train station.The star I’ve taken off is for the wi-fi, which a lot of people like to keep in touch with family when away from home.

Staff where friendly helpful and efficient service was very good and so was the food.

We stay here each year for the Rebellion Festival and have never been let down. We heard loads of people had their bookings cancelled last minute but not us, Our booking was kept and without the inflated prices that others had experienced at different places. Room was comfortable and clean as always and although we only made it to breakfast twice during our stay that was good too. We look forward to returning again next year :-)

We travelled from Somerset for a four night break at the Sutcliffe Hotel & we was not disappointed. Fantastic location. Rooms very clean & comfortable,breakfast was excellent & all the staff were friendly & helpful.We will be back 😎

Old fashioned blackpool hotel but dont let that put you off the staff could not do enough for you they were all very pleasant the room was clean and we slept very well the food was very good and lots of choice the drinks were very cheap happy hour 7 till 9 even after happy hour they were still cheap. They played bingo and had a singer on both nights it's not the Ritz by any means but was great value for money . Only negatives would be the tv didnt work in the room I mentioned it to one of the staff but nothing was done about it and the room was small also someone was smoking in one of the rooms on our floor and you could smell it in the corridor .

I spent two delightfull nights here.Michael the owner/manager was an absolute delight and works so hard.Enjoyable in house entertainment, decent prices in the bar.Room was very clean and extremely comfortable and included tea , coffee and biscuits.Breakfast was lovely and was so sorry I had to leave too early on Sunday to enjoy another. Perfect location so close to the main attractions.I understand Michael is retiring after many years, he was brilliant and I am sure he will be missed.I wish you a very happy retirement and well earned time with your family.As the new owner learned from you, I think the tradition will continue, especially if he keeps the same lovely staff….I’ll find out on my next trip as I will book the Sutcliffe for my stay.

This place is brilliant value. Booked with my husband and 2 kids. Family room which was quite spacious. Only being used as a base as we had lots on. Location is excellent if you want to be central. Breakfast was great and service couldn’t be faulted. Although hotel is a bit dated it was spotlessly clean.I have found a gem of a place and would highly recommend.

Absolutely brilliant stay. It was a mother's day gift and what a gift it was to. Room was spotless with plenty of tea and coffee with biscuits 😋. Comfy big bed, slept like a baby 👶. The food was so good and tasty, if we had stayed longer we would have put weight on. Plenty of piping hot water. Cannot find a fault anywhere. As I said a wonderful stay.

From the moment we arrived at this hotel we were made to feel welcome straight away the manager there was a brilliant person and I am really happy with my stay we booked breakfast one of the mornings for £5 which included cereals juices and the full English and it didn’t dissapoint, rooms were very clean and I really would love to return to this hotel again

Having stayed at the Sutcliffe over a number of years now for the Blackpool Magic Convention, we experienced the same quality as in previous years.Breakfast is individually cooked and served at the table. It is tasty and filling.The disappointment this year was that evening meal was no longer available. Which is a pity since they were always excellent meals.Very convenient for the Winter Gardens, all being well, we would hope to be there again next year.

Had a brilliant time at Sutcliffe hotel. Michael and his staff are so friendly. lovely freshly cooked breakfast great location for all the attractions lovely comfortable bed and entertainment on a night was excellent with a happy hour as well. Thanks for a great time.

Just returned from The Sutcliffe Hotel.Arrived at 13.25 and our room was not ready, which wasn't a problem. Came back at about 16.15 only to be met by a lot of unhappy guests who had been waiting a while due to reception been closed for a couple of hours.We eventually got checked in. Our room was on the 2nd floor. On entering the room we noticed that it had not been vacuumed from the previous guests, on entering the bathroom we were a bit concerned that this might not have been cleaned also. Thankfully it was spotlessly clean.Now to the meals, the food was lovely, lots of choice and well presented. They were short staffed but coped admirably and all covid rules were obeyed.The drinks were reasonably priced,bingo and entertainment. All the staff made you feel welcome. I must say the breakfast was outstanding.We had our room vacuumed next morning which was acceptable. Overall the Pros weighed out the cons. We had a very pleasant stay, all the staff were polite and very hard working. We will definitely be back for the illuminations

We stayed for 1 night as a family of 4 with 2 small children, the room was clean and comfortable, the staff were really friendly and helpful nothing was too much trouble, the evening's entertainment was excellent, would definitely recommend to any age would be happy to return.

Been going to Blackpool every year for over 10 years now. stopped in much more expensive hotels than Sutcliffe hotel and they have been nowhere near as homeley and friendly as this place. From the moment we arrived I felt like I'd known Michael and the rest of his staff for ever. The food was cooked fresh and was delicious.the room was spot on and beds were very comfy. Entertainment on a night was ace but the biggest entertainer of them all was Michael he had my kids in stitches who are 7 and 4 with his different masks of singers he puts on not to mention the water pistols he got out. Give this place a go it's fantastic we can't wait to go back.

Good location. This hotel was spotless & great staff. My only thing to say is we would have liked more at breakfast (small portions) & was only 2 tv stations no programmes?

Staff where very friendly the room was small but very adequate for my needs and very clean. Staff were very attentive and I enjoyed my stay there I would recommend this hotel to any one.

Only stayed one night, wish we would have stayed longer! Had such a lovely night stay, the rooms were very nice, breakfast was amazing. Had such a quiet and peaceful sleep, it was just lovely! Will definitely be staying here again :)

Booked the hotel online at a good price but on checkout I think you can get it even cheaper . Really pleasant staff , room was very clean and had good facilities , didn't use the bar as I was out all day during my 2 night stay but there was entertainment . Would definitely return , the hotel is literally a 5 minute walk to the main beach area and even closer to the shopping area , really convenient .

Our stay at the Sutcliffe Hotel 🏨 was brilliant from start to finish. Michael and his staff were absolutely lovely and so helpful and friendly and made our stay so pleasant. They went out of there way to ensure kids had a great time too. Rooms were lovely too and beds so comfortable and food was delicious. I would recommend the Sutcliffe Hotel to anyone looking for good friendly place to stay in Blackpool with reasonable prices...thanks again to Michael and all his staff we had a great timeSee you again...

we stayed here for one night with our grandson in familly room ,the manager on arrival was very welcoming and very friendlyroom was very clean lots of towels tea and coffee in room, bar down stairs was nice , and the breakfast was amazing all you could eat was on offer from full english to fresh fruit and cereal toast the lot,parking was also on offer in a lock up garage right next to hotel , could not fault this hotel location was also great right by the tower madame tussards sealife centre and beach what more could you want will defo use this hotel when we go again thanks for a great stay.

Stayed in sutcliffe hotel with 12 other adults and kids .. hotel was spotless, staff very friendly and accomodating.. manager michael was brilliant couldnt do enough and kept us entertained.. brilliant value for money..will def be bk nxt year but need 7 rooms instead of 4.. blackpool has so much to offer for both adults and children.. circus was amazing

manager and stafffriendly rooms was clean and tidy central for shops and town centergood breakfast in morning would recommendedhotel.

Our check in was pleasant, rooms clean but in need of makeover. Breakfast nice but not value for money. booked online and had to pay half of bookibg which was fine but at the end of the stay was told that it wastoo much hassle to take payment online so full balance was due. Thought that this was terrible customer service as i should of been told by email prior to my start or even at the starT, good job i had money left to pay the unexpected £50. it is in a good location.

Sorry for the inconvenience but the email states half the balance may be taken and if no email is provided then we cant respond though on occasion I have phoned customers up to inform them Sorry you must be one that was missed Though when I personally give my card details online I look for the payment being taken from my account and we have had guests say nothing had been taken
